PARSON
HYDRO GROUT

Quickly stop infiltration through cracks in manhole walls

DESCRIPTION:
PARSON HYDRO GROUT is a tough, low viscosity, hydrophobic polyurethane grout, that when mixed with predetermined amounts of PARSON GROUT ACCELERATOR, will exhibit reaction times from 30 seconds to 3 minutes. PARSON HYDRO GROUT can be used to stop medium to high volume active leaks through cracks in Manholes, Pump Stations, Water and Wastewater tanks, Concrete Pipes and other Concrete and Masonry Structures.

ADVANTAGES:
  • Cures to a closed-cell foam
  • Chemically resistant
  • Fills voids and holes
  • Low viscosity allows good
    penetration into small cracks
  • Non Hazardous
  • Environmentally Friendly

MIXING: Perform “cup tests” to determine reaction times by accurately measuring small amounts of PARSON HYDRO GROUT and PARSON GROUT ACCELERATOR. Begin with approximately 1 ¼% Accelerator to Grout ratio, which should yield a reaction time of approximately 45 seconds. Pour both products into a small plastic cup and stir until thoroughly mixed. Record the amount of time until the product reacts. If reaction time needs to be adjusted, add more PARSON GROUT ACCELERATOR to shorten, or less to lengthen the reaction time. When the desired reaction time has been achieved, both products may be mixed in larger volumes using a jiffy mixer. Please note the actual reaction times may vary slightly due to ambient temperature and humidity.

APPLICATION: Drill several 3/8” holes that are in close proximity to the leaking area using alternating hole patterns with one hole on each side of the crack or leak. Drill the holes through the structure. The distance from the crack should be equal to half the depth of the structure. Install one 3/8” drive-in port into each hole. Follow standard injection practices starting from the bottom port. Begin injecting PARSON HYDRO GROUT using recommended pumping equipment (see accessory page). Care should be taken not to over inject. When grout rejection is achieved, move to the next application port. Refer to our Chemical Grouting Specifications for additional information.

PRECAUTIONS: PARSON HYDRO GROUT is moisture sensitive and should not be exposed to ambient conditions until ready for use. Completely reseal container immediately after use. Avoid contact with moisture.

SAFETY: Wear protective eyewear and headgear and cover all exposed skin. Follow appropriate OSHA requirements and procedures for confined space entry. Refer to container label for First Aid procedures. See MSDS for specific instructions.

STORAGE: Shelf life is 5 years in original container stored in dry environment at 70°F.

PACKAGING: PARSON HYDRO GROUT is available in 5 gallon plastic jugs. PARSON GROUT ACCELERATOR is available in 1 pint metal cans.
