PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB

An Ultra High Build, corrosion resistant epoxy coating to protect brick
and concrete structures against H2S attack
.

DESCRIPTION:
PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB is a 100% solids, two component Ultra High Build epoxy coating designed to be applied over brick, concrete or metal structures or as a topcoat over PARSON MH Liner or CA LINER 100. It provides excellent protection and abrasion resistance for concrete and steel sewage structures such as manholes, wet wells, digesters and clarifiers, along with mixer blades, shafts and other steel machinery components in contact with aggressive liquids. The product is applied using specialized plural component spray equipment.

ADVANTAGES:

  • Contains NO Flammable Solvents -100% solids
  • Apply to horizontal or vertical surfaces
  • Effective on interior and exterior surfaces
  • Apply to new and existing brick, concrete or metal surfaces
  • Excellent Chemical and Solvent resistance
  • Apply up to 125 mils in a single coat

SURFACE PREPERATION: PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB may be applied as a stand alone corrosion barrier coating or as a topcoat over PARSON MH LINER or CA LINER 100. Application can be performed within one to two hours, but must be completed within 24 hours of application of PARSON MH LINER or CA LINER 100. This unique method of application can dramatically enhance the bond strength between the two materials and virtually eliminate the probability of contamination of the PARSON MH LINER or CA LINER 100 prior to application of the PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB.

New or Existing Concrete - The surface must be SSD (Saturated Surface Dry) and free of old coatings, oils, grease, waxes, algae, rubber deposits and other contaminants detrimental to adhesion. Spalls, chuckholes or cracks should be repaired with PARSON MH LINER or CA LINER 100. Concrete surfaces can generally be prepared by using 3,500 psi water blast cleaning, abrasive blasting, shot blasting or a combination in order to achieve a 2 mil. profile.

Steel - Surfaces should be sandblasted to "white metal" (SSPC-10) immediately before application of the protective coating. Remove all surface contaminants of oil, old coatings, waxes and other compounds that may be detrimental to adhesion.

No priming is required unless it is necessary to fill voids after sandblasting. PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB displays excellent adhesion to most substrates; therefore, primers are not normally required.

MIXING: PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB is supplied as a two-component system. The A and B components are pumped separately from either 5 gallon pails or 55 gallon drums. Mixing occurs at the nozzle of the spray gun. The mixing ratio is 2:1 by volume

APPLICATION: PARSONPOXY SEL-80HB is applied by Plural Component spray equipment. Apply to a thickness up to 125 mils per coat. Allow first coat to become tacky before applying additional coats. Preheat product to 140º F prior to spraying. COVERAGE: Approximately 12.8 Sq. Ft./Gal. @ 125 mils.

CLEAN-UP: Clean spray gun with compressed air. Clean tools immediately after use with MEK. Wash hands and skin areas with soap and warm water. Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

PACKAGING: 150 gallon units - (Components A & B) Each container shall be clearly marked with the product name and component designation "A" or "B".

STORAGE: Do not freeze. Store in area with temperatures between 50-90°F and with product on pallets. Shelf-life is three years in unopened containers stored as specified.
